Don’t Eat… What?

here’s a good rule of thumb: … don’t eat anything that isn’t 100% chemical free.
Excuse me? I hate to break it to you, but we’re made of chemicals. Proteins, amino acids—they’re all chemicals. Everything we eat is a chemical, too. Just because sodium chloride is commonly called salt doesn’t mean it’s not a chemical. And we can’t qualify that statement with “natural” or “organic”. Nature’s full of chemicals that can kill you—look up foxglove, nightshade, hemlock, or any other poisonous plant.
I’m not advocating processed food, but we really do need to be sensible when we talk about what we should or shouldn’t be eating.
